At the Valley Points Family YMCA, we believe our programming lays the groundwork for healthy futures, builds a sense of community, and conveys the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Yes, children learn to swim, kids have somewhere to go after school and we teach about healthy lifestyles, but the Y is far more than that. The Y is a place where kids find direction, families come together and people rally to make a difference.
With a commitment to nurturing youth development, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that people of all ages and from all walks of life have access to the essentials needed to be more healthy, confident, connected and secure.

Health, Well-Being and Fitness
We know wellness when we experience it. It's an overall feeling of health and wholeness. A sense of
belonging. The energy to live our fullest life. The desire to continually learn new things and improve our skills. And the chance to contribute and help someone else. At the Y, a supportive community is a big part of wellness. At every age and every level of activity, you'll find people just like you looking to live a little bit healthier. At the Y, we have the facilities, equipment, programs and staff to support you. Make new friends, increase your self-confidence, and improve your spiritual, mental and physical health.
► Group Exercise Classes: We offer classes for all ages, all levels and interests. From low-impact exercise and chair classes, stretching and strength training to indoor cycling, water exercise and yoga, you'll find a group class that's fun, supportive and keeps you moving.
► Personal Wellness Training: We all need the advice of an expert sometimes, as well as the personal attention that comes with a trainer or coach. We offer personal training and coaching to help you set and meet your specific goals in order to live healthier.
► Water Activities: What would the Y be without water? Water exercise, adult swim lessons (it's never too late!) and water therapy are some of the water-based activities you'll find at the Y where we believe if you can do it on land, you can do some version of it in the water! Sports and Recreation
Did you know that basketball and volleyball were invented by early YMCA leaders? At the Y, sports and recreational activities are something special. Friendly competition (even with yourself), lots of variety and a supportive environment means team sports and recreation is fun again, and it makes for a healthier lifestyle.
Our Y offers a variety of programs for teens and adults, including recreational drop-in sports. Programs vary by Branch, and you can check out the current offerings on page 12 of the Program Catalog.
Do you want to be a lifeguard? Do you need certification in CPR? Then come to the Y and make it happen! We offer American Red Cross Lifeguarding and CPR/AED classes at various times throughout the year. Give us a call and we'll be happy to let you know when you can get started!
At the Y, we believe healthy living has as much to do with pursuing interests, passions and learning new things as it does with eating healthy and being active. Our minds and spirits need stimulus and enrichment, and we get so much more from life when we find things—and people—that inspire us. Whether it's the Book Club, Photography or Drawing class, think about trying something new!
